Four months ago, I gave birth to a bouncing baby boy, his name is Jayden.
From the day he was born, I breastfed him on demand. Day and night.
People used to tease me that my baby boy could suck breast a lot. I mean, he's a boy na.
But after every breastfeeding, the only thing I would do was wipe his face with a napkin, in case any milk spilled.
His mouth? I never touched it.
I continued in this method for 2 months. All I did was breastfeed him, wipe the face, and I was done.
I didn't see the importance of cleaning his mouth. I mean, he is just a baby.
Then one day, another mother told me I should be using napkin or wipes to clean his mouth too. Not just his face.
I laughed it off at first because I didn't see the importance of cleaning my baby's tongue, but she told me that if I don't, I will spend more money in treating my child than buying a napkin.
So I started wiping his mouth and tongue with a napkin, the same way I wiped his face.
Quick. Simple. Back to my day.
Nobody told me a napkin still wasn't enough. So I kept doing it, for months, thinking I had it handled.
At my baby's checkup, the doctor looked in his mouth and asked me something I did not expect.
"Have you been cleaning his mouth, or just wiping it?"
I did not understand the difference. So I told her about the napkin.
She smiled gently and explained something nobody had ever explained to me before.
A napkin does not clean a baby's mouth. It only moves the milk around.
She explained it simply.
Every time you breastfeed your baby, small residue of milk stay behind. On the tongue. On the gums. Inside the cheeks.
Without proper care, that milk dries up. It sits there on your baby's tongue and forms a thin, white layer. That white layer is the coating many of us have seen. The one we were told is "just milk colour" and nothing to worry about.
It looks small. It looks harmless.
But it does not just sit there quietly.
Over time, three things can happen:
A yeast infection caused by an overgrowth of the fungus, Candida. The same fungus that causes diaper rashes. This infection affects the part of the mouth involved in sucking and that includes the baby's lip, tongue and the inner cheeks, thereby making the baby's mouth sore and feeding painful.
If you are breastfeeding, thrush can pass between your baby's mouth and your nipples. I remembered the strange soreness I had been feeling for weeks. I never connected it to his mouth.
Your baby will start pulling away during breastfeeding because of the thrush in his gum. I noticed this in my baby, I thought it was my milk. It was never my milk. It was his mouth.
A napkin or wipes cannot clean this properly. They only move over the top of the tongue. They do not lift what has dried and stuck underneath. So even after you "wipe," most of the residue is still there.
And I have not even started on mothers who use the same wipe or napkin more than once.
What manner of germs are you passing into your baby's mouth?
How do you sterilize those wipes to ensure it's clean?
You think using warm water will do?
When you wipe your baby's mouth after breastfeeding, then reach for that same wipe or napkin next time you breastfeed, without using a fresh one, you are doing it all wrong and this may harm your baby's health.
That wipe or napkin you want to use again has already touched milk, saliva, your hand, even the table you put it on. Using it again is not cleaning. It is just moving old residue and germs around your baby's mouth.
I sat in that clinic feeling many things at once. I felt surprised. I also felt a little upset that nobody told me sooner.
But mostly, I felt relief. Because now I finally understood how important it is to clean my baby's mouth.
The thing I'm most grateful for is this: that thought I used to have — "he is just a baby, his mouth won't smell, his mouth won't have issues" — it was gone. Gone the moment the doctor finished talking.
While I was still sitting there, feeling all of this at once, the doctor recommended something for me. The best way to prevent thrush from forming in your baby's tongue is by gently wiping or brushing your baby’s tongue after each feeding. And this can only be done with a baby oral cleaner.
The Baby Oral Cleaner is a soft, sealed cleaner designed to gently clean your baby's mouth, tongue, and gums.
It is made with 100% soft cotton that is safe for even the most delicate newborn skin.
It has a soft spiral head that actually lifts leftover milk and residue. It does not just push it around, the way napkins, wipes, or a wrapped finger do.
The spiral design reaches into the small grooves of the tongue and gumline, places a regular wipe can't get into, giving your baby a deeper clean without any scrubbing or discomfort.
It's gentle enough to use daily from the newborn stage, right through to the early teething months, when gum irritation is at its worst.
A pack contains 30 pieces, enough for about a month of daily use, and every single piece is individually sealed until you open it.
Nothing touches it before it touches your baby. No shared containers, no exposed tips, no contamination.
It's small enough to carry in a diaper bag, easy to use with one hand, and disposable after each use, so there's never anything to wash, sterilize, or reuse.
It is clean, safe and simple. Everything a baby's oral care routine should be.
As soon as I got home that evening and finished breastfeeding my baby, I reached for the pack of Baby Oral Cleaners in my bag. I opened the pack, took out a fresh, perfectly sealed cleaner, and used it to gently wipe the leftover milk from my baby's tongue.
Using this new oral cleaner didn't change my day. I still breastfed him the same way, several times a day. I still wiped his mouth after every feeding.
The only new thing was that I had replaced the napkin with the Baby Oral Cleaner.
Within a couple of weeks, the white coating on his tongue was gone. He stopped pulling away during feeds, and even the soreness on my nipples began to ease.
Now, my baby's tongue, gums, and inner cheek are clean, and also free from any oral infection.
Milk residue left on your baby's tongue and gums can lead to bacteria buildup and oral thrush. The soft spiral head grips and lifts it away, instead of just smearing it around like a napkin does. That means a genuinely clean mouth after every feed.
Each of the 30 pieces comes individually wrapped and sealed until the moment you open it. Nothing touches it before it touches your baby's mouth — no dust, no exposed cotton, no contamination. That's hygiene you can trust with every single use.
This is designed for use from day one, as soon as your baby starts feeding. The soft cotton spiral head is gentle enough for tender, toothless newborn gums, so you can start their oral care routine early without any risk of irritation. It's a safe, simple way to build good habits before the first tooth even comes in.
A clean mouth means fewer germs and less residue buildup near your baby's gums, which can cause soreness and irritation during feeding. By keeping your baby's mouth clean, you're removing one more thing that could make breastfeeding uncomfortable for you.
There's nothing to wash. You use one piece, and throw it away. It's clean and safe, every time.
Slim, light, and small enough to fit in your bag, purse, or diaper pouch. Whether you're at home, out for a walk, or traveling, you can clean your baby's mouth anytime, anywhere.

"I didn't even know my baby had thrush until I visited the hospital. That white coating on her tongue broke my heart. I realized I wasn't doing anything about my baby's oral hygiene. Thankfully, a nurse recommended this baby oral cleaner to me. I started using this every day after breastfeeding, and within a week it was gone. I cried a little. Now it's just part of our routine."
"My son is always uneasy whenever I tried to clean his mouth with a wet cloth wrapped around my finger. He would bite down, turn his head, cry. With the way he was always acting, I couldn't continue cleaning his mouth after feeding him. Luckily for me, I saw this oral cleaner online and made an order ASAP. He is now calm whenever I clean his tongue."
"I'm not the kind of mum that buys everything for a baby, because I feel my baby is just a baby and doesn't need all these materials. However, when my baby had thrush, I had no choice but to get one before it was too late. Now, I only focus on getting products that are beneficial to my baby."
"Breastfeeding already comes with enough discomfort. I'm saying this because I am a first-time mum. Whenever I breastfeed my baby, my nipples are always sore and painful and I always feel very uneasy. I had to switch to using a bottle feeder for a while. But when I took my baby to the hospital for his immunization, the nurse who was in charge of my baby told me to be wiping his mouth so I could remove all the white coatings on his tongue. I did like the nurse instructed and soon the white coatings were gone. After a few weeks, I changed back to breastfeeding my baby and I realized my nipples were no longer sore during breastfeeding."
"My baby is only 3 weeks old and has no teeth yet, so I was scared to put anything in her mouth. I'm that overly protective mum that doesn't put things that are unsterilized in her mouth, not even my own finger without washing it first. But when I saw that each piece comes individually sealed, I felt at ease. I use it every morning and night after breastfeeding, and honestly, it is a game changer."
